I just rewatched the episode and I need to give MAJOR props to Jared, okay.

We know how hard “Sacrifice” was on him emotionally, and then last season too where we thought Sam was dead. Playing suicidal Sam is very emotionally taxing on Jared. So tonight, I was floored when Sam was hearing ‘Dean’s’ voice telling him to ‘just die’ and he faked slitting his own throat. I don’t care if it was a fake out and a ploy to get Toni down there. The fact that Jared had to read, let alone act that out, really got to me.

I just need to know if someone gave him a blanket or held his hand or rubbed his back or hugged him or something after that because that was hard to watch. All I could think about in that scene was Jared rather than Sam and when you know that this man already suffers from depression and plays a character with suicidal ideations, I couldn’t help but worry for Jared’s mental health in it all.

I agree completely. I have to believe Jensen was right there for him, ready to talk him down and walk it off. That scene...

Is it safe to assume that Jensen was close by while Jared was shooting his scenes, to give him support.
